“From what I explored, this renovated 18th-century farmhouse strikes a balance between rustic charm and modern design, particularly in its super king rooms appointed with luxury linen. I noticed the exceptional Sunday Roast tradition, sourcing ingredients locally; the bar also caught my attention for its unique selection of cask ales and crafted cocktails. It's a spot that seems to blend historical character with thoughtful extra services.”

The room was disappointingly chilly. Radiators were positioned behind the curtains.

Excellent Stay, Service and Comfort Highlighted

excellent servicecomplimentary platterattentive waiter
Jake was our waiter. He provided the best customer service I have seen in a long time. He discovered it was our wedding anniversary, so he presented us with a complimentary platter of goodies with "Congratulations" written in icing. Drinks were topped up quickly. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
The carpet in our room had some coffee stains, and I feel that should have been cleaned.
Service
10/10
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They accommodated our late check-in and assisted us with our luggage to the room. I found them willing to help and approachable, so I could ask questions and get quick and efficient answers.
Dining
9/10
I had an evening bar meal that was good. Breakfast portions were very generous. The chef, Liam, was fantastic (I enjoyed the food a lot) and created a great atmosphere, so I wanted to come back again.
Location
8/10
The venue itself was beautiful. The night entrance was clearly marked and signposted, so it was easy to find our room after the venue closed. It was very accessible, and I was able to reach the main attractions easily.

poor acousticsbarely hot water
i stayed in room 8 and i was disappointed. the acoustics between rooms were terrible. unsociable guests next door were loud until 2am. there was no staff on site overnight to address this behavior. also, the room was next to kitchen fans that started at 6:30 am. i had little sleep and the shower water was barely hot.
